The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services recently issued a bulletin about why it is important for health care workers to get a flu shot. The bulletin explains it is important for health care workers to be protected against the flu so they will be less likely to pass an infection to patients.
Similarly, support persons should get a flu shot to lessen the chance of passing an infection to the individuals they support.
