- There will be other people at the doctor’s office.
- To keep them from getting sick, you can:
- Wear a face mask
- Wash your hands before you touch anything in the office.
Tell the doctor your symptoms.
- Symptoms are the ways that being sick makes you feel bad, like:
- A cough
- A runny nose
- Trouble breathing
- Bumps on your skin

- It can be hard to remember all of your symptoms. You can:
- Ask your support person to help you remember
- Write down your symptoms before you go to the doctor’s office

- Tell the doctor if you don’t understand:
- What the doctor says
- Why you are feeling sick

- You have a right to know what is going on with your body.

- If you need to come back and when
- If you do not feel better, ask for more help.
