Asthma and Indoor Air Exposure
Asthma is one of the most common chronic illnesses in the United States and is an illness related to environmental risks. The incidence of asthma has increased significantly over the last few decades. This month we provide a link to a book, Clearing the Air: Asthma and Indoor Air Exposure. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requested that the National Academies conduct an assessment of asthma and its relationship to indoor air quality. The book reviews the health impact of indoor air pollution related to asthma and mitigation and prevention strategies to reduce these pollutants.
